West of Sydney, the Blue Mountains got their name from the blue mist due to the oil evaporating from the trees and how it plays with the sunlight, giving the mountains a blue color.
They say the area is half th size of Switzerland and some regions are only accessible on foot after several daysof bushwalking (understand hiking).
