Auckland is hilly and they have been transforming the waterfront into a pedestrian friendly stroll area. There are also numerous beaches and islands around for hiking (bushwalking) and sun bathing.
I also visited th maritime museum with a exhibition about the America Cup… surprinsingly they didn’t say much about the time Alinghi won the Cup from the Kiwis…
